Jake Ringsell - Filmmaker

Jake Ringsell is a British writer-director whose work blends visceral imagery with emotionally honest storytelling. Equally at home in award-winning narrative film and the alt-music space, his films often explore the fears that shape us, from the quiet inevitability of loss in The Rally to the nightmarish unraveling of identity in REDRUM. Drawing from a background in heavy music, Ringsell brings a distinct cinematic energy to his work, always in the service of stories that feel human, raw and true.

Jake has just completed short film The Rally (2024), for which he was both director & editor. The film received BIFA and BAFTA qualifying festival recognition, and picked up Best Drama at the Waves Short Film Competition.

Jake began primarily working within the realms of music. Over the years, he has collaborated with a diverse range of artists. Often having a hand in the creation of his scores, music has always played a pivotal role in his films.

Commercial work includes high profile fashion films for designer John Richmond, as well as a sea of content for the likes of Adidas and GHD.
