Across narrative, music and commercial projects, Jake Ringsell’s films tend to start with character. Sometimes that means something quiet and painfully human. Sometimes it means building an entire world around an artist and letting things get strange.
Coming from a background in music and filmmaking across disciplines, Jake is used to being close to the making of things. His work moves between the grounded and the surreal, with performance and atmosphere at the centre of both.
He is currently developing new narrative work alongside directing music videos and commercial projects.
